Jusanji (주산지) is a lake in Ijeon-ni, Budong-myeon, Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It is located in the southwestern part of Juwangsan National Park. Constructed in 1720-1721, it has been used for irrigation as well as for drinking water. There are about 30 willow trees, age 150, that grow within the water of the lake. The lake is best seen early in the morning in the spring or fall, when a thick, mysterious mist rises from the water.
- Length: 100 meters
- Width: 50 meters
- Depth: 8 meters
The director Kim Ki-duk used this lake as a set for some scenes of his movie "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring."
[edit] How to Get There
There are regular buses to Ijeon-ni from Juwangsan National Park Bus Station. The fare is 1,300 won and the ride takes about 10-15 minutes. The bus stops near a bridge in Ijeon-ni, just opposite a small store (return bus tickets are sold there). From that point, the parking lot is a 2.5 km walk up the road through stunningly beautiful farmland skirted by mountains. At the fork, go left (there are signs). Once at the parking lot, the lake is 700 meters up a dirt road.
[edit] Accommodations
There are minbak (guesthouses) scattered along the left side of the road to Jusanji and just outside the parking lot.
