Korean recipes

Korean recipes are naturally made with prime ingredients and even better preparation. Koreans are proud of their dishes and take pride in making varied meals each day that are full of nutrition and even more multiplied with vegetables, teas, grains and drinks. Korean recipes also take much usage of fermented foods, such as Kimchi and Doenjang paste (made out of soybeans).

While Korean meals are certainly tasty and customary for their culture, the biggest thing that sets them apart is their seasonings. Korean seasonings, or yangnyon (in Korean), are from plants and herbs. These seasonings are implemented in almost every Korean dish and very few recipes comes spice or herb free. But these seasonings are not just there for taste or show either, they are there for health reasons. The Korean seasonings have been found to be one of the larger reasons the food is so healthy and nutrient stocked in the first place.

The seasonings in Korea are typically made by hand for specific recipes. While some people still go and buy their seasonings from the marketplace, most people (especially in more rural areas) still prefer to make their own seasonings from hand.

Korean recipes come in different types

Just like in America, the recipes in Korea come in various types or styles. Here are some of the more popular:

•Appetizer recipes: Pajeon (pancakes), Bindaeddeok (bean pancakes), Goojeolpan (crepes) •Soups: Miyeokguk (Seaweed soup), Manduguk (dumpling soup), Maeuntang (spicy stew) •Meat: Bulgogi (beef), Gogijeon (beef and egg), Galbijjim (beef rib meat and soy sauce) •Vegetables: Kongnamool moochim (soy bean salad), Hobak namul (squash salad), Gamja jorim (potatoes in soy sauce)

Outside of these, there are loads of other recipes and meals from fish and seafood to snacks and beverages. Korean food done right can be tasty to anyone with any type of preference.
