Kyungpook National University Church

The Kyungpook National University Church Daegu (KNUC) foundation is dated back to 1955 with the construction of a Christian Center by its founding members, with the support of 4 nations, local Christian churches, and other local efforts. The center baptized 22 students living within its dormitories at that time.

Currently the church has grown with its responsibility to minister to a campus with over 25,000 students, its staff, faculty, and employees. The church being uniquely located on university property, but outside the campus walls, gives it the added mission of being a tool that God can use in reaching the surrounding community. The church’s reach also extends abroad through its efforts to administer God’s love to a foreign student population from Ethiopia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, China, Russia, Mongolia, India, Nepal, and other nations.

The church has a rich history of divine favor from God, demonstrated by the support given to KNUC by many local churches and even from abroad.

KNUC supports and cooperates with local churches, Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC), CMI, DFC, DSM, ESF, ISF, InterCP, IVF, JDM, LWM, Navigator, SFC, and YWAM, along with the campus’s Christian groups and associations.

The KNUC operates tours of Daegu City in the months of May and November annually. It is a fine way to get to know the city and meet new friends in the process.
