Kyungpook University Hospital is a general hospital located in downtown Daegu. Locally known as "Kyungdae Byeongwon", this hospital is regarded by many Koreans in Daegu, as being the best hospital in the city. The hospital first opened in 1907 and currently employs over 550 physicians, as well as over 1500 hospital personnel.
Although most doctors can be trusted to speak some English, given their medical training and knowledge of medical practices and terminology, which is always in English, this hospital does not have an International Health Center to assist foreigners with translation and administrative help, as in the cases of Yeongnam University Hospital and Dongsan Medical Center.
If you are needing English assistance at this hospital, it would be best to proceed straight to the Emergency Room and ask an available doctor or nurse for help, and they'll either be able to help you or direct to you to other personnel that speaks better English.
