Baekryeonsa - in Gangjin-eup. Hiking trails connect it to Dasan Chodang, Dasan's house of exile, and some suggest that Baekryeonsa was an inspiration behind Dasan's writings on Korean Buddhism.
Daewonsa - in Boseong county. This area is reknowned for its scenic beauty, especially when the cherry trees are in bloom, as well as for the Tibetan museum on site.
Hyangiram - in Yeosu city, Hyangiram is on Geumosan mountain and overlooks Impo Village and the South Sea. A sunrise festival is held each year on New Year's Day.
Mihwangsa - in Haenam county, near 땅끝. This fairly large site has over a dozen structures and is a short distance away from "Land's Edge," the southern-most point on peninsular Korea.
