[edit] Maseong
A myeon of Mungyeong-shi, bordered by Mungyeong-eup on the north, Hogye-myeon on the east and south, and Gaeun-eup on the west. It also shares short borders with Yeonpung-myeon of Goesan-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do on the northwest and Sanbuk-myeon on the northeast.
[edit] Jinnam
A tourist area nestled in a couple bends in the river, downstream from the Maseong town area. There is an ancient fortress there much of which has been or is currently being rebuilt. The now-defunct Mungyeong and Gaeun train lines ran through the area - a bridge and a tunnel are still (as of 1/2006) accessible on foot. The railroad bike rental place is nearby. There are several restaurants and minbaks. A beach along the river is enjoyed by many people in the summer. Cliffs across from it are high and scenic. Jinnam yaksu spring is along the road running along the southwest side of the river, just below the railbike station. This popular and free water source attracts people from all over NW Gyeongsangbuk-do, who bring containers and fill them with the spring water.
