The May 18 Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to preserve the memory of the Gwangju Massacre and to promote human rights and democracy in South Korea. The Foundation administers the May 18 National Cemetary in Gwangju, awards the Gwangju Prize for Human Rights, and oversees a number of other projects.
