Korea has four major broadcasting companies (KBS, MBC, SBS, EBS), and there are cable channels specializing in news, current events, movies, sports, and entertainment. Most broadcast in Korean. Broadcasters that use only in foreign languages include Arirang Television, American Forces Korea Network, CNN, NHK, and Star TV. Only American Forces Korea Network (AM1530 and FM102.7) broadcasts on the radio exclusively in English.
[edit] Newspapers and Magazines 신문과 잡지
Newspapers may be purchased at convenience stores, street vendors, train and bus terminals, and elsewhere. Foreign language newspapers commonly sold at these places are the International Herald Tribune, the Korea Herald, and the Korea Times. As of May 2006, most cost around 700won. Current events and business magazines published overseas may be easily found at bookstores, while one must go to a particularly large bookstore (대형서점) to find magazines about fashion, art, and so on.
