Migeum
Migeum
Korean name
Hangul: 미금
Hanja:
Revised Romanization: Migeum
McCune-Reischauer:

Migeum is the unofficial name of the area around Migeum Station on the subway's Bundang line in Bundang-gu, Seongnam city, Gyeonggi-do. There is no officially designated Migeum-dong; rather, the area is comprised of Gumi-dong and Geumgok-dong.

The area around Migeum Station is has many hofs and restaurants, including KFC, Outback, TGI Friday's, Sizzler, and Subway sandwiches. As with any (sub)urban area in South Korea, there is also an abundance of hagwon and gaming rooms. Additionally, the department store 2001 Outlet sells a variety of clothing and household wares, and there is a grocery store in the basement.

On the eastern end of Migeum is the stream Tancheon, lined with pedestrian and bicycle lanes and dotted with small exercise areas from Suji-gu to Seoul.

Migeum is connected to other areas in Seoul and Gyeonggi by bus, as well as subway. Buses run regularly to Gangnam and Gwanghwamun in Seoul, and Suwon and Suji in Gyeonggi-do. The bus to Incheon Airport stops in front of gate 1 of Migeum Station.
