| Korean Immigration has recently implemented new policies on the E2 visa requirements, such as requiring medical records, criminal records, and interviews at overseas Korean embassies. This is a very fluid situation and there is a general opinion that the execution of the policy will continue to be refined. As a result, we cannot guarantee that our information will be current, to the moment. If you wish for the latest information and safe guidance, we please encourage you to contact Rowan at ESL-Planet, who is always at the forefront of industry changes and helping teachers get good jobs.

Most visas are issued as a single entry visa. This visa will only allow you to enter Korea once during the visa term.
Teachers or other expats who plan to travel outside of Korea during their contract period must upgrade to a multiple entry visa at immigration. At this time, most consulates do not grant multi-entry visas, however, it would be wise to ask. Otherwise, you will need to have this done in Korea.
The cost for the multiple-entry visa is 45,000 won. You will need to get this done yourself by applying at an immigration office in Korea or with the help of your employer. Also, if you plan on renewing your work visa, make sure that the multi-entry status is also being renewed.
