Muwisa

Muwisa (무위사) is a Buddhist temple in Gangjin county, Jeollanam-do. It first dates to the 7th century, and its name was changed from Kwanumsa to Muwisa in the 16th century. Much of the site was destroyed during the Japanese Invasion.

From Gwangju, take a bus bound for Haenam or Gangjin, and get off at Seongjeon-myeon, and from there take a bus bound for Muwisa.

Buses leave daily for Muwisa from Gangjin Bus Terminal. It is a 25 minute ride.
