Namgomun

Namgomun (남고문) is a large gate in Geumnam-dong, Naju city, Jeollanam-do. It was one of the 4 gates to Naju-eup Fortress, built in the 15th century, and is the only one still standing. The remaining portions of the wall are 3,300 meters long, and the gate, which was destroyed in 1920, was most recently renovated in 1993. Today one of Naju's main streets encircles the gate.
