Okcheon (옥천군, 沃川郡, fertile.river.county) is a county in Chungcheongbuk-do. The population as of 2004 was 57,079, including:

Okcheon is located at 127°29′~127°53′ East and 36°10′~36°27′ North. To the south and east is the county of Yeongdong, to the north is the county of Boeun, to the east is the city of Sangju in Gyeongsangbuk-do with the Sobaek Mountains as the border between the two, and to the west is the city of Daejeon as well as the county of Geumsan.
Some mountains in the county include Paleumsan (팔음산, 762m) to the east as the highest peak in the county, Cheongeumsan (천금산, 464m), Cheongwansan (천관산), Dodeokbong (도덕봉, 440m) and Wolisan (월이산, 551m) to the south, and Samseungsan (삼승산, 574m), Geumjeoksan (금적산, 652m) and Deokdaesan (덕대산, 593m) to the north.
The county has a continental climate, with an average yearly temperature of 11.8℃. The average temperature in January is -3.8℃, and the average temperature in August is 26℃. The average yearly precipitation is 1,147mm, more than the national average. 54% of the rainfall is the county falls between June and August.
