The birthplace of former Korean leader Park Chung Hee is located in Gumi's Salmo-dong, several kilometres south of the Gumi Bus Terminal. Admission is free. There are plans for a large complex but as of early 2006 what can be found here is:
a parking lot.
a park area with gazebo and benches just above the parking lot. *a landscaped pedestrian walkway.
the house of President Park. It's a small clay building, with traditional thatched roof. Park's study desk is one of the few things inside.
the office is right beyond the house.
an exhibit area is on the other side of the house.
a shrine with flags and portraits is in back of the house.
