Bundang was constructed with space for a large number of parks and playgrounds spread out over all the dongs.
[edit] Central Park
- Main article: Central Park
Central Park is the largest park in Bundang district, and reputed to be one of the nicest parks in South Korea. This 42 hectare park has been the location of films, television programs and commercials, making it a very recognizable symbol of Bundang. The park is located in Sunae-dong, and is centered around the 88 meter high forested mountain, Youngjangsan (영장산) and a large pond with a fountain. It was opened July 31st, 1994. In Central Park, several large and small traditional Korean pavilions have been erected nearby the lake, where visitors can while away the hours. Throughout the park, there are facilities for roller blading, cycling, badminton, croquet, weight lifting, as well as a large number of walking paths. In addition, there is an outdoor theater, where performances are held during the warm months. Public parking is available. For information call 031-711-8278.

Yuldong Park is to the east of Central Park and stretches over Yul-dong and Bundang-dong. First opened in August of 1999, this 30-hectare green space is well known for its large reservoir and bungee jumping platform. The park has a long walking trail skirting around the small Yuldong Lake (율동호수), where you can periodically see the park's large fountain spray water high up into the air. Park visitors can also enjoy badminton, roller blading, cycling, a playground and large open lawns, a seasonal flower garden, a reed field with a board walk running through it, as well as a sculpture plaza. In addition to the five different refreshment stands located in the park, there is also a coffee shop and restaurant. Ample public parking is available. [edit] Tancheon
- Main article: Tancheon
The Tancheon winds itself throughout Bundang, making this stream one of the most widely recognized symbols of the burrow. The area also serves as a large park and there are paths for both walkers and cyclists on each bank with occasional foot bridges joining the two sides in addition to the bridges built for vehicle traffic. Along the paths there are a large number of benches as well as exercise equipment. The whole area is extremely popular among residents of the area. Along the approximately 25 kilometer stretch of the Tancheon that passes through the Seongnam area, there are five water parks open to the public free of charge, and are wonderful for families to take their young children. The Tancheon water parks (탄천물놀이장) are open every year from July 1st to August 31st, 10am-8pm. At the parks there are changing rooms available as well as lots of chairs and tables to enjoy a picnic on.
[edit] Neunggol Park
Neunggol Park (능골 공원) is not as large as its popular neighbor, Central Park, down the street, but it is nonetheless a pleasant place to spend a quiet afternoon reading a book, roller blading, or listening to the sound of the birds overpowering the traffic. There is a fountain at the main entrance to the park with paths leading to well-kept lawns, numerous shady trees and plenty of covered-benches to enjoy the day on. There is a large open area in the middle of the park suitable for roller blading with a basketball court and and various pieces of exercise equipment . This three-hectare park sits in the middle of Jeongja-2 dong, across the street from Parktown Apartments (파크타운), along Baekhyun-ro (백현로), between Central Park and the KT corporate headquarters. It is not very busy and is guaranteed to be free of crowds. Bathroom facilities are available within the park and the main paths are well lit at night.
[edit] Housing Park
Housing Park (주택공원, 住宅公園), is not well known, largely due to the fact that it is hidden so well into its surroundings. The heavily forested park is well endowed with hiking paths that would not be found challenging to anyone. The few amenities that are available in this park are largely limited to a few scattered pieces of exercise equipment, pavilions, and a single badminton court on the far east side. It is largely frequented by senior citizens out for exercise or gathering herbs from the mountainside. The park is located in Jeongja-3 dong, snuggled behind the KT corporate headquarters building, the Bundang Culture and Information Center, and the Korea Gas Corporation. Along its perimeter are Dolma-ro (돌마로) and Buljung-ro(불정로), which intersect at Buljung Intersection (불정사거리), with the park extending down to the banks of the Tancheon.
[edit] Danggol Park
Danggol Park (당골공원) is clean, well-lit, and mainly frequented by the residents of the surrounding apartment buildings that make up Saebyul Maeul (샛별마을). In the morning it is buzzing with activity as children make their way to the nearby Dangchon Elementary School. There are many covered benches spread throughout the park, an exercise yard and bathrooms. The area is a wonderful place for a stroll in the morning or early evening with its shady trees and well-kept lawns. This Sunae-dong park travels through the middle of Saebyul Maeul from Central Park to the foot of Bulgoksan , next to the Bundang-dong office. These three areas are all connected by large grass-covered overpasses with benches and walking trails that allow you to view the traffic going underneath.
[edit] Gumi Park
Gumi Park (구미공원, 九美公園) is a large park in Gumi-dong that overlooks a bend in the Tancheon, past Seoul National University Hospital. This 24 hectare park is next to Bulgok Elementary School, and sits in the shade of a small tree-covered mountain with hiking paths leading to the lake on top. Whether sitting under a shady tree or in one of the park's pavilions, everywhere throughout the park one can see the water of the Tancheon flowing by as well as joggers out for their daily run. There are facilities for badminton, inline skating, a large playground, and there is also a small outdoor theater for anyone to use. The park is a weekend meeting place for a variety of clubs and is also home to the Gumi Badminton Club. Public parking is available.
