Pocheon (포천시, 抱川市, embrace.river.city) is a city in Gyeonggi-do. The population as of 2004 was 158,487, including:

To the east and northeast is the county of Gapyeong and the county of Hwacheon in Gangwon-do, to the west is the county of Yangju over the Cheonbo Mountains, to the south are the cities of Uijeongbu and Namyangju, to the northwest is the county of Yeoncheon, and to the north is the county of Cheorwon in Gangwon-do.
Some of the mountains in the city include Baegunsan (백운산, 白雲山:904m), Gungmangbong (국망봉, 國望峰:1,168m), Hyeondeungsan (현등산, 懸燈山:935.5m), Myeongseongsan (명성산, 鳴聲山:923m), Gwangdeoksan (광덕산, 廣德山:1,046m), and Yongamsan (용암산, 龍岩山:477m).
The city is located away from the sea and thus has a continental climate. The average yearly precipitation is 10.5℃, the average in January is -7.3℃, and the average in August is 25.7℃. The average yearly precipitation is 1,300mm.

Uijeongbu is a 25 minute bus ride south from Pocheon. From there, you can take the subway to central Seoul.
