Sancheong (산청군, 山淸郡, mountain.clean.county) is a county in Gyeongsangnam-do. The population as of 2004 was 36,963, including:

- 114 non-Koreans.

To the east are the counties of Hapcheon and Uiryeong, to the north is the county of Geochang, to the south is the city of Jinju and the county of Hadong, and to the west is the county of Hamyang. The county is 38.5 km from east to west, and 40.6 km from north to south.
The county is located in the Jiri Mountains.
The county is located away from the sea and lacks some of its influence: the average yearly temperature is 12.1℃, the average temperature in January is 0.3℃, and the average in August is 25.4℃. The average yearly precipitation is 960.9 mm.
