Since 2004 the two cities have been connected by the high-speed train known as the KTX, giving only 45 minutes or so between Seoul Station and Daejeon Station. Taking the bus from the Express Bus Terminal Station can be a quicker and cheaper route for those that live in the area (Gangnam, for example, about one hour away from Seoul Station by subway).
