Shopping in Jeollanam-do
Department Stores
Big Mart is not a department store, although it is the closest some towns have to one. The larger locations have a grocery store on one floor and a second floor with small amounts of clothing, toys, office supplies, electronics, and other miscellany. There is sometimes a florist, a tailor, and/or a shoestore on site.
There are 3 E-Mart locations in Jeollanam-do, and 4 in Gwangju. The Jeollanam-do locations are in Mokpo, Yeosu, and Suncheon cities.
- E-Mart (Mokpo) - 전라남도 목포시 옥암동 915-25 (10 am - 11 pm)
- E-Mart (Yeosu) - 전남 여수시 오림동 405-1 (10 am - midnight). This location is across the street from the Yeosu Bus Terminal.

Food
Jeollanam-do is known especially for seafood dishes. Each region has its own self-proclaimed specialties, as well as one or two cash crops.
There are a few Western restaurant franchises throughout Jeollanam-do, mostly in the larger cities. Smaller towns have Korean pizza and chicken chains.
