The Snow Crab Festival is at Hanmaeum Square, Hupo-hang, Hupo-myeon, Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It takes place in late March or early April. It features catching snow-crabs, eating snow-crabs, crab-eating contests, games and athletic events, crab exhibition, stocking stream with flatfish, etc.
Uljin produces 30% of Korea's snow crabs (daegei). A snow crab festival is also held around this time in neighboring Yeongdeok.
