Songpa-gu

Songpa-gu, a district of Seoul is located on the south side of the Han River, upstream from Gangnam-gu. Songpa, meaning "pine hill," contains the Garak, Jamsil, Seokchon and Munjong areas. The Olympic Stadium, Olympic Park, Asian Park, Garak Market, Namhansanseong Provincial Park, and Lotte World are located in Songpa-gu. Approximately 670,000 people live in Songpa, which was the site of the 1988 Olympic Games. Its sister city is Christchurch, New Zealand.
