Revised Romanization: Taepyeong-dong

Taepyeong-dong is located in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam city, Gyeonggi-do. As of 2001 it has a population of 82,076. It is further separated into Taepyeong 1-dong, Taepyeong 2-dong, Taepyeong 3-dong, and Taepyeong 4-dong. The immediate area is serviced by two subway stops: Taepyeong and Kyungwon University stations on the Bundang line.

Points of interest include Bongguksa temple and Kyungwon University, which offers Korean language classes.

There are a few main roads which criss-cross the area and run up and down the hills between the subway station and Moran Station. Also noteworthy is the large market area located a few blocks from Taepyeong Station. It is crowded with people, especially at night, as there are scores of restaurants, noraebang, hofs, clothing and furniture stores, food stalls, and vendors selling fish, vegetables, pigs' heads, poultry, clothes, toilettries, and a variety of oher products.

Seongnam City Hall is located in Taepyeong 2-dong.

There is a National Pension Office in Taepyeong as well. To get there, get off at Taepyeong Station of Subway Line 8 and take Exit No. 2. Go straight about 1.5 km towards Seongnam City Hall and you can see the building on the left.
