Woohoo! Bundang-gu comes up 4th on Google now. Just behind Wikipedia's article and something from Gyeonggi province. However, if you type in just Bundang without the "gu", we don't come up at all ㅠㅠ. Any ideas on what to do? Bundanggumin 15:35, 5 December 2007 (PST)

If you check our keyword position here, you'll see that a search for Bundang ranks #19 on Google (#3 on Yahoo) and Bundang-gu is #4.

Some reasons for this is that the title of the page (which determines the critical title tag that SE spiders look for) is 'Bundang-gu' and not 'Bundang'. Although the article 'Bundang' is redirecting to 'Bundang-gu', it would be better if this is reversed to have Bundang-gu redirect to Bundang. It'll take a month or so for Google's cache to make note of the change, so not sure how long it would take for ranks to change proportionately, but that is one thing that would need to be done.

Everything else looks good. The article is well-linked to other relevant articles and those articles are linking back. So it's properly networked.

There are few external links pointing to the article. Try looking around the net to find 5-10 sites that would have some relevance to Bundang and see how you can leave a link, preferably not wikipedia, as we are already linked from there. PS. the sites that link to us should have a higher Google Page Rank (PR, for short) than the Bundang page, otherwise there will no rank improvement. Bundang PR is 2, so any linking site should have a PR of 3, at least. To look at PR ranks of sites, download the Google Toolbar and you'll see the PageRank icon on it, which, when scrolling over it, will show the PR of the page you are looking at --Galbijim 18:09, 5 December 2007 (PST)
