Tangsuyuk

탕수육, (Tahng-soo-yook)

Tangsuyuk is as close to Americanized Chinese food as you can get in Korea. It's essentially sweet and sour pork. A variant sometimes has beef instead of pork. The dish can often include a mixture of diced pineapples, bell peppers, and white onions, or served just with the fried pork and sauce. This dish has its roots from the Hunan region of China and is regionally known there as "Tang Cu Liji" (糖醋里脊).
