Thomas W. Livingston, Jr. was a Second Lieutenant with the 196th Artillery Battalion, 10th Corps, U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was killed on September 22, 1952, during fighting in Inje-gun in Gangwon-do, when Communist troops overran their position on Hill 854. Also killed was Pfc. Ellis Choma and Pvt. James F. Stephens.
A bridge over the Soyang River in Inje was named for Lt. Livingston. His brother James and six other family members attended the October 28, 2006 rededication ceremony. In 1953 the X Corp Artillery Range in Inje was named for him, but closed down after the war.
