Uiryeong (의령군, 宜寧郡, proper.peaceful.county) is a county in Gyeongsangnam-do. The population as of 2004 was 32,681, including:

- 310 non-Koreans.

Uiryeong is located at 128°07′~ 128°26′ East, and 35°15′~ 35°31′ North. It is longer from east to west (32 km) than it is from north to south (27 km).
To the east are the counties of Changnyeong and Haman, to the south is the city of Jinju, to the west are the counties of Sancheong and Hapcheon, and to the north as well is the county of Hapcheon.
Most of the county is at a high elevation, with such mountains as Jagulsan (자굴산, 897m) and Guksabong (국사봉, 668m).
The county has a generally temperate climate. The average temperature in January is -0.5℃, the average in August is 26.7℃, and the average temperature over the year is 13.4℃. The average yearly precipitation is around 1,300 mm.
