Uiseong (의성군, 義城郡, just.castle.county) is a county in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The population as of 2004 was 66,507, including:

71% of the county is forest, and 19% of it is agricultural land. It is 52 km from east to west, and 33 km from north to south.
The county is located at 128°05′~ 128°54′ East, and 36°11′~ 36°32′ North. To the east is the city of Andong and the county of Cheongsong, to the west is the city of Sangju, to the south is the county of Gunwi and the city of Gumi, and to the north is the city of Andong and the county of Yecheon. It is located in the centre of the province, and with the exception of Uljin, all cities and counties are within 80 km of Uiseong; with the continual improvement of the road system the distances are growing ever closer.
A part of the Taebaek Mountains passes through the northeast part of the county. Some mountains in the county include Hwanghaksan ((황학산, 780.0m), Gallasan (갈라산, 541.0m), Gumusan (구무산, 676.2m), Sandubong (산두봉, 717.7m), Seonamsan (선암산, 878.7m), Bibongsan (비봉산, 671.8m), Cheongjebong (천제봉, 359m), Sanpyosan (산표산, 443.7m), Guksabong (국사봉, 520.5m), Bongamsan (봉암산, 452.7m) and Haemangsan (해망산, 400.0m).
The average yearly temperature is 11℃, and the average yearly precipitation is 961.5 mm.
