Yeongam (영암군, , spirit.cliff.county) is a county in Jeollanam-do. The population as of 2004 was 63,019, including:

  • 62,336 Koreans and
  • 683 non-Koreans.

To the east of Yeongam is the county of Jangheung, to the south are the counties of Haenam and Gangjin, and to the north is the city of Naju.

Some of the mountains in the county include Cheonhwangbong (천황봉, 天皇峰:809m), Gujeongbong (구정봉, 九井峰), Sajabong (사자봉, 獅子峰), Guksabong (국사봉, 國師峰:613m), Heukseoksan (흑석산, 黑石山:650m), and Jujisan (주지산, 朱芝山:491m).

Rivers in the county include the Yeongsan River (영산강, 榮山江), Sampo River (삼포강, 三浦江), Yeongamcheon (영암천, 靈岩川), Dogapcheon (도갑천, 道岬川) and the Songgyecheon (송계천, 松溪川).

The average yearly temperature is 13℃, the average in January is 1.4℃, and the average temperature in August is 26.0℃. The average yearly precipitation is 1,593.4mm.
