Yeongdong (영동군, 永同郡, long.same.county) is a county in Chungcheonbuk-do. The population as of 2004 was 52,905, including:

- 308 non-Koreans.

To the east are the cities of Gimcheon and Sangju in the province of Gyeongsangbuk-do, to the north is the county of Okcheon in Chungcheongbuk-do, to the west is the county of Geumcheon in Chungcheongnam-do, and to the south is the county of Muju in Jeollabuk-do.
There are a number of mountains in the area, higher than most in the country. Some mountains include Hwangaksan (황악산, 1,111m), Minjujisan (민주지산, 眠主之山:1,242m) and Gakhosan (각호산, 角虎山:1,176m) to the south.
The yearly average temperature is 11.8℃, the average in January is -3.5℃, and the average in August is 25.9℃. The average precipitation over the year is 1,012mm.
