Yeongi (연기군, 燕岐郡, swallow.passage.county) is a county in Chungcheongnam-do. The population as of 2004 was 85,578, including:

- 1,123 non-Koreans.

To the east is the county of Cheongwon in Chungcheongbuk-do, to the west is the city of Gongju, to the southeast is the city of Daejeon, and to the north is the city of Cheonan. The town of Jochiwon in Yeongi is the place to get off the train when going to Gongju, after which one must take the bus.
The Charyeong Mountains begin north of Jochiwon.
As the county is located far from the sea, it lacks its moderating influence. The average yearly temperature is 12.8℃, the average in January is 4.2℃, and the average in August is 26℃. The average yearly precipitation is 1,193mm. There are an average of 165 sunny days per year.

33% of farming families in the county are engaged in cultivating peaches, over a total area of 328 hectares, half of the available land. Many of these are shipped to Taiwan.
