The Yeongsan River (영산강, 榮山江) is a river in the southwest part of the country, in Jeollanam-do. It enters the Yellow Sea at Mokpo. It has a total watershed of 3,371 ㎢ and is 115.5 km in length. The river begins along the Yongchu Peak (용추본, 龍湫峰:560 m) and flows past the cities of Damyang, Gwangju, Naju, and Yeongam. Tributaries include the streams Gwangjucheon, Hwangnyong River, Jiseokcheon, Gomagwoncheon, and the Hampyeongcheon.
