Yongpyeong Ski Resort is a ski area located in Doam-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do. It is Korea's oldest ski resort.
It features a peak of 1,438 metres or 4,717 feet. Some scenes of the popular drama Winter Sonata were filmed at the resort.
The Rainbow Course extends five kilometers from the peak to the bottom. A gondola holding eight skiers goes to the top, a distance of 3,742 meters.
